About the Artist
My name is Kimberly Six and I am the founder and designer for Quilted Memories.  I am a multiple-award winning quilter and have been quilting since 1992.  I am currently a member of numerous local quilting guilds, and I have shown my work in quilt shows accross the United States.  Before relocating to the Triangle, I served on the board of the San Diego Quilt Show for 4 years, and won awards for my quilting in the San Diego County Fair

In order to share my passion for quilting, I am also involved with quilting charities, such as Project Linus, which provide quilts and blankes to terminally and seriously ill children, and Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps, for children with Leukemia.

In 2006 I founded Quilted Memories after having my first child.  I realized that children grow up so fast, and wanted a personal way to hold onto those memories.  Therefore I combined my love of quilting and a box of outgrown baby clothes to make a memory quilt that was like no other.   This was followed up by numerous t-shirt quilts for friends and family, and pretty soon I realized that there was a demand for a personalized quilting service to create heirloom memory quilts.

Don't let those old outgrown, outdated but still loved garments sit in the closet or in the attic.  Let Quilted Memories turn them into a wonderful quilt that you can use, and look at every day.
I hope I can turn your precious memories into a cherished heirloom.

Sincerely,
       Kimberly Six

What are our clients saying about our quilts:

"What should you do with your t-shirts?  Have a t-shirt quilt made out of them. I just did that recently with my DH's old race shirts. Kim Six of Quilted Memories made it for us and it turned out great."

"I LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"

"The quilt arrived and it looks terrific!  Thank you so much for working on it so quickly.  My son loved it and I know that I will be in touch in 2009 for a Senior quilt for my daughter!"
